Can we discuss suspenders?

I’m familiar with the phrase.

Both phrases are well understand everywhere in the Midwest where I grew up and now have returned to live. Braces was slightly more common during my years in Boston and braces more often seen with business suit wear than I see with formal wear here in the upper Midwest but then braces look sharp with bow ties, so that is not surprising.

Duluth Trading. Side clip or regular, both available with plastic clips that won’t tear up your pants or set off a metal detector. Accept nothing less.

I use it. I used it on these boards a few days ago, discussing landline phones.

What is the term for ‘last call’ in the bar you hang around in?

THIS seems very very key. I need X suspenders and need to be able to adjust the back clip, not buy ones stitched into a set position and angle, yes?

They are stitched into an angle at the ‘X’. But it’s higher up than the other suspenders I’ve owned, and seems to allow more lateral adjustment at my waist in the rear.

I almost forgot, they’re advertised as X-Ray proof, but they’re not “whatever TSA uses” proof. So every time I’ve worn them thru the TSA checkpoints I get to meet the nice men with funny beeping wands, and occasionally even take of my shirt for them to examine. Apparently they show up just enough to worry the TSA guys, so don’t wear these on flights.
