Can you cheat on Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?

You (or someone else) posted this in another thread. I looked out for it the next day while watching, hoping to amaze my wife with a answer prediction before the question was even known. But oops… the 2nd and 3rd question were both the same letter.

So it’s not true.

Ah, Regis, 68 years old & has plastic teeth so white, no one has them like that.

Still, why are there no black people on the show? No handicapped people either.

They can cut out anything where no one answers the phone.

You can cheat on phone a friend. Have a bunch of people hang out at the house. Then when Regis comes on, put him on the speaker phone. One of the friends should know the answer and just point it out.

What I’ve found is that the questions themselves are not hard, it’s the scope of the questions. I myself am a history buff, general PBS buff so science and history questions are simple for me. I do not know anything about art or music though. So if I was a phone a friend, I’d gather some people who knew music, art, etc. and we could anything they’d throw at us.

Remember when Rosie was the phone a friend on one Sunday show? She finally got phoned after asking any viewers who got on WWTBAM to use her.
In an interview she said she’d been on the list for several people. She had to stay by the phone between 5 and 7 on a Wednesday night each time (well, at least now we know one of the taping times). This suggests that they tape two shows back-to-back.
When she did get picked there was a Thursday night ABC press release that she’d get the call on the next Sunday show.

Is there a visible studio audience? If so, you could bring your friends and use signals.

If I am remembering correctly, they decide ahead of time which two options will be removed with a 50/50, and they will tend to remove the two least likely answers.
