Can you get to Mapquest?

I get an “invalid URL” message when I go to http://www.mapquest.com/ No redirection instructions, no “This page cannot be displayed” message that you would usually get after a crash.

Have I missed some monumental change?

Momentary glitch, I think. I just got there from your link.

That’s interesting. I still can’t get there. I can get everywhere else I’ve tried.

I can’t get there either – I notice that my DNS shows that URL maps to an IP address on my ISP’s Atlanta POP, so I’m guessing a DNS problem.

So glad to hear this. I thought maybe I got some really weird virus that refused to recognize a single web address.

I can’t get to Mapquest.com, but I could probably get to Mapquest. (Yes, I realize the irony of using Google Maps, but when Mapquest.com is down, you gotta do what you gotta do.)

I can’t get there either. Also can’t get to Wikipedia.

Mapquest, no.

Wikipedia, yes.

I just tried again and now I’m getting the invalid URL message.

I’m not having any problems.

For whatever it’s worth (and it has nothing to do with the OP, Boyo Jim), yours is one of my favorite Doper names.

I have to smile whenever I see it.

I was unable to get to Mapquest when I first opened this thread about an hour ago, but I can get there now.

I had no trouble with Wikipedia at any point.

Still Wiki-issues. Never know how much you rely on something till it’s gone.

Never mind.

I can now get to Mapquest- although it can’t tell me how to get to Sesame Street.

No trouble for me last night.

I usually use Yahoo! Maps. I entered my home address as my starting location, and Mapquest as my destination, but it couldn’t find it for me.

So, for me, I guess the answer is no, I can’t get to Mapquest.

Wait a minute. What’s the ZIP code?

It’s working for me again.

  1. (Yes, I realize you were joking, but if you look upthread, I actually went to Mapquest- or at least their headquarters.)
