Can you help me identify this alcohol?

I’m trying to think of a certain drink I used to drink back in the dorms. Basically it consisted of some moderately prices whiskey (I think) and seven up. It wasn’t a very high proof liquor and it didn’t have a strong bite. It almost kind of tasted like Alcohols answer to Root Beer. Before people suggest Southern Comfort, just let me say that I am from a redneck town of 2600 people and I know my so co.

Thanks for the help

Sounds like a Seven and Seven – Seagram’s “7” whisky and 7-Up.

I know a coupla women who drink amaretto and ginger ale/seven up/whatever. Tastes great, but no matter how fast I chug them they do not have much effect.

You’re trying to identify the whiskey-like product that you used to make the drink? I’ll guess Yukon Jack. It’s sweet, whiskey-like, and not Southern Comfort.

Yukon Jack is a taste born of hoary nights, when lonely men struggled to keep their fires lit and cabins warm.

The alcohol in question was almost certainly ethanol.

You guesed it :smack: thanks.
