Can you identify this English Breakfast Tea

This weekend I had a cup of English Breakfast Tea that was fantastic. I had it at my sister’s house and she got the bag from somebody else. The wrapper for the bag was white with blue stripes and said “English Breakfast Tea.” I don’t recall any manufacturer or company name on the bag. I forgot to look for a name on the dangley thingy that is connected to the string on the teabag.

That’s about all I’ve got to go on, other than the fact that it was uber-yummy and I’m still drooling over it.

Anybody got any clues?

Thanks much!

The only blue one I’ve found is this, but if that isn’t it you can’t go wrong with anything Fauchon.

(Also, have you tried calling your sister?)

She doesn’t know.

Earl Grey?

Earl Grey is another type of tea (like Orange Pekoe, Oolong, Irish Breakfast), not a brand of tea (Twinings, Tetley, Salada).

Try a bunch of diffrent kinds, judging from the “cointains” labels, not the brand name. Breakfast teas are dark, so go with Orange Pekoe, Black, Kenyan
etc. Try out different kinds and see what tastes famular. Gotta cach em’ all. Pekoe, I choose you.

This page might help.

My sister was able to contact the friend, and it turns out to be Althorp English Breakfast Tea. Unfortunately, from that web page they won’t ship to the US and their US distributer does not carry the tea. So I’m S.O.L.

Lucky you posted that, I was about to say it could have been Tesco value tea…
