I think I recognize this image, but I can’t think of where I recognize it from.
The Tin Eye results show that it was originally a color image, and the girl has pink hair. And this result indicates it’s just a stock image.
Oh wow, thanks for showing me that site. Hadn’t heard of it.
I want to read about the site now. Does it just compare some pixels? Or does it do somthing more interesting and AI-y than that?
I have no idea. Idee Labs is another neat image searching and identification site that works a little differently, if you’re curious.
ETA: The Tin Eye FAQ explains all! Well…sort of.
Pity that iStockphoto can’t spell, specially for search purposes
Maybe it’s a British site
We don’t spell it that way either.
I knouw! I was ounly making a jouke!
Referring, of course, to the British spelling of “offence”, where in the USA we spell it “offense”.
darn guest accounts that don’t say where you’re from…
I love 27bslash6.com. For some good funny, read these:
The girl actually has a sort of ‘character name’ on the site - Tabitha Gnillort. He has used that name and the picture as a fake identity on occasion.
Hmmm, stock photo, photographer Lev Dolgatshjov, she’s likely an Estonian model…
other poses:
Uh. Some of the shots of her are even less “young girl appropriate” than that one. I’m hoping she’s 18. Alert - NSFW for lingerie shots.
Now where on Earth am I going to get that “angry schoolgirl with black scythe” pic that I’ve been searching for all these years ?
If you zoom in a little, her face is a bit odd, I’d pass on that.
I do believe I have found the model’s personal Livejournal.
Her name is Darja Tokranova, and she is quite the graphic artist in her own right, going under her real name or the handles Deedl, Deedlit, Deedlith, and DeeDee, among others.
As far as I can tell she is currently 25, so was likely at least 21 at the time of the shoot.
the collective power of SDMB never ceases to amaze me.
Bah. The guy needs a 2x4 across the knees.
Thank you for turning me on to David Thorne. My eyes are still watering and my sides hurt.
Wow, she does awesome work! Those bookmarks are lovely, not to mention her other projects.
