Can your arm burst?
Under what sort of circumstances? - it seems most unlikely that the arm of a person in perfect health would spontaneously burst at room temperature and at sea level.
Didn’t somebody else ask this bizarre question not too long ago?
What do you mean? I’ve heard of baseball pitcher’s arms shattering, don’t know if it’s true though.
I once completely burst open my thumb, just like squeezing a grape.
But it was hit against my stick by a hockey ball going full pelt towards me when it happened. It wasn’t a spontaneous thing, by any means.
Made some serious mess though.
Saunders breaks arm while pitching
I’m not sure if the above link is what the OP is asking for, but yes, pitchers have broken their arms while pitching. I remember seeing the replay on the news and you could hear the arm break on camera. When this happened I remember hearing reports that it was more likely to happen to left-handed pitchers, don’t have a cite though. (If it’s true, it serves them right for going around and being different like that.)
I dunno if it’s relevant but someone once asked Alan Partridge “what if your arm bursts”. His reply was “In fourteen years of professional brodacasting, including four as a hospital radio dj, i can safely say that no-one has ever come up to me and said ‘my arm’s just burst. Could you play a dedication?’.”
What an odd question… I would assume so.
That’s where I heard it.
