Canadian nostalgia: extinct restaurant chains

Mother’s, Whitespot, and Peter’s are the only ones I recognize. Peter’s is still there in Calgary where it’s always been, Whitespot I have no idea as I’ve only been there twice, and mother’s was a favorite. They opened again in Southern Ontario for awhile. Not sure is still operating, but I checked their menu and they were missing the one thing on their menu I ever ate: Pizza on a bun. Still trying to find a recipe that matched theirs.

There’s a Mr. Mike’s in Lethbridge, Alberta, so smaller cities and towns fits.
