Help, I’m trying to set up Quicken to download transactions from my bank and I can’t figure it out. My bank is Royal Bank (RBC) and it’s not listed in the program even though the RBC website says it supports the program. How do I set this up? I also have Microsoft Money but it too has the same problem. I try to download from RBC and I think it saves the file bit it never transfers into the program.

I went to the RBC website and it appears that when you download the information it is in a file, it does not diredtly update Quicken. Most likely it comes down in a comma delimited format file or the Quicken file format which has the extension QIF (Quicken Information File).
Search your computer for .qif. If you find the file go into Quicken then choose File -> import. Browse to the file and it should pull in the data. Note, back up your data file before doing this. I doubt it will blow up anything but bakups are your friend.

At least it was fie ->import when I did Quicken support years ago. I was on the first online support team for Quicken.
