While playing with my new satellite antenna, I turned it towards Nimq 1, where the Canadian equivalent of Dish Network is. On one of the unscrambled channels, I saw a rather attractive blond woman, but she was speaking French.
The hell is this? I thought you guys were just like Americans but with different money and colder.
25 percent of us speak French, and you basically have to be bilingual to rise to high office in the federal government.
Also, we’re Mostly Metric.
And the temperature drops 30 degrees as you cross the border.
Celsius or Fahrenheit?
Gack! French channels. In my pre satellite days I wasted many a night watching badly dubbed programs.
Theres something about Clint Eastwood going “Jeus qui par le vous, moi je’mappale bienvenue.” that is profoundly disturbing.
French channels aren’t very common out here in the west (of our 5 peasent view channels 1 was french. No one watched it) but it is my understanding that due to the higher population of Francophones in central Canada you see more french channels.
Thats right, it not just cold and beaver infested up here, its also partially french.
VIVA LA POUTINE!
FrancoPhones?
