Canadian Tim Horton-drinkin' Dopers: Roll Up the Rim is here. What you wanna win?

The Coleman packages look kind of nice. I still don’t have a driver’s license (I’m 25, just never got around to it) so the car doesn’t hold any interest for me.

My last year’s winnings were a few coffees. I think a donut and a cookie might have been in there.

What do you hope to win (and have any won yet…or ever won a big prize?)

I would like the Plasma TV Home theatre or the camping package.

I’ve never won more than a cookie or donut, but my aunt won on of the PeeWee Herman type bikes last year.

Plasma TV, yes, that’d do it.

:: checks Timmy’s web site ::

The cash would be nice too, although that looks like a lot more than a thousand dollars in the picture. I’d sell the SUV though, or take its cash equivalent, and maybe get a Toyota Prius or a Smart Fortwo, depending on how much the SUV brought.

Wahoo, I won a mouffan! On my very first ROTR of the year!

…of course, this usually is a bad omen dooming oneself to no winnings for the rest of the contest.

Poop.

Oh well, I got me a muffin!

A fruit explosion?
That’s what I want.

Nah. Strawberry Sensation. Yummy.

Haven’t tried the Lemon Cranberry yet, though. Maybe I should have gone for that instead?

I’d like to see something different in the way of muffins, like toffee or something. Everything muffiny they have seems to be either fruity or grainy. Not that that’s bad, I just like the more decadent stuff when it comes to muffins.

So when your aunt won the bike, did she have to go to any great lengths to actually get it? One of my dad’s buddies won a bike a few years back, and he had to drive to Ottawa to claim it. And THEN it was in pieces in a box - he had to assemble it himself.

Oh, definitely the plasma TV–although the SUV would be cool for my parents. I would love to get it into our back driveway and lead my mom outside for a big surprise

Now, does anyone drink coffee?

ooooooooooo… itching to get back to Canuckistan

I want the SUV. No way in hell would I keep it, mind you, but the cash would buy me a nice, practical Toyota Matrix.

/Ms Cyros

Rules & Regulations say the SUV is worth $51,811 CAD or $37,690 USD. No cash equivalent but I’ve heard it’s generally more advantageous to accept the prize and sell it yourself anyway.

That’s a pretty sweet chunk of change. Must go buy me a hot chocolate…

/Ms Cyros

Hey, you can trade in the SUV for about…lesseeeee…over 45,000 hot chocolates!

Nothing yet. I wish I could get out for a coffee and donut right now, but it doesn’t look like I’ll be able to with this nasty weather.

Lemon cranberry is delicious.

Not as good as the orange-cranberry they had last year around Christmas, with the sweet sweet cranberry goo inside it, but still pretty darn good.

I’m 0 for 2 on my rrrroll attempts so far. All I really want is that TV. How much is that to ask for years and years of loyalty?

Actually, adding up all the coffees I’ve had there, I could probably have afforded the damn thing myself.

I want to win everything! I’ll settle for a coffee.

Anything would be fine. Given the extent to which I’m addicted to Tim’s (and more precisely, the Tim’s next door to where I take my night classes), it’s all profit.

Those giant stacks of cash will do nicely! Dunno about that monster-sized tent, but the rest of the camping package looks pretty good too.

Does anyone remember a couple years ago that there was talk of some crooked Timmy’s employees discreetly rolling up rims to see if they were winners, then rolling them back down again if they weren’t? I don’t know if this actually happened, but I just remembered hearing about it and I’m kinda curious.

I never win anything. Sometimes, my Cracker Jack boxes don’t have toys in them. I’m the only person I know who gets empty Kinder Surprise eggs.

I rarely win…and when I do it’s something I don’t eat, like a muffin. ick. I just want a few free coffees.

Why do the prizes have to be a *specific *product anyway? Why not “prize certificates” of $1, $2 and $3. Just take the amount off my total order. Maybe it would get people to try things they’ve never had before, or try a soup & sammich.

Oh, and there’s no reason for this thread to be exclusive. Tim’s has 217 participating locations in the US now. Check “Region #8” in section 3 of the rules & regs if you don’t believe me.

Heeeyyyyyy! We should set-up a winning tab exchange, like the iTunes code exchange thread! I’ll give you my crappy muffin & cookie tabs for coffee tabs!
