Canadian towns or cities you have lived in

Hotel and vacation accommodation do not count.

For me,

Orangeville, Ont
Niagara on the Lake, Ont
Waterloo, Ont.
Fort Erie, Ont
Hamilton, Ont.
Pickle Lake, Ont.
Winnipeg, Man.
Snow Lake, Man
Nanaimo, B.C.
Prince George, B.C.
Victoria, B.C.(Victoria, Langford, Metchosin and Saanich)
Sidney, B.C.
Campbell River, B.C.

I forgot St Catharines, Ont.

Can’t say as I blame you. I lived there for 12 years.

As well as:

Hamilton, ON
Burlington, ON
Oakville, ON
Mississauga, ON
Victoria, BC

Peterborough, Whitby, Waterloo, Whitby (again), Bramalea, Brampton, Whitby (yet again), Oshawa, Mississauga, Oakville, Toronto (all in Ontario, in that order).

Lennoxville (now part of Sherbrooke) QC, Rock Forest (now Sherbrooke) QC, Guelph Ontario, Hamilton Ontario, Montreal QC.

There was a three-year period where we lived in Germany between living in Lennoxville and Rock Forest.

Dundurn, SK
Wainwright, AB
Burnaby, BC
Orleans, ON
New Liskeard, ON
Waterloo, ON
Peterborough, ON
Vancouver, BC
North Vancouver, BC
Hamilton, ON
Ottawa, ON

Between Burnaby and Orleans were 4.5 years in Germany. I moved down to the States after Ottawa.

Well actually the fact I missed St. Catharines flabbergasts me. That apartment was where I lost my virginity!

I didn’t intend to count out of country towns, but after Hamilton, I lived in Sutton Bridge, england for four months.

I’m a little unsure what to do about the municipalities that made up Metro Toronto pre-amalgamation, but assuming that they were their own cities in those days, then:

Toronto, ON
North York, ON
Stouffville, ON
Calgary, AB
Edmonton, AB

New Westminster(Vancouver), BC
Nepean(Ottawa), ON
Stittsville(Ottawa), ON
Chelsea, PQ
Waterloo, ON

I nearly forgot to put Waterloo in there. Thing is, I’ve been attending university here since 2003, and have lived here continuously for over a year! :smack:

Edit: Forgot Chelsea, which is essentially just another part of Ottawa anyway.

I’m assuming you are either military or a brat? Where in Germany were you? My mom was a teacher, at CFB Lahr.

Let’s see…

Victoria, BC
Yorkton, Sask.
Winnipeg, Man.
Maple Ridge, BC
Victoria, BC

(RCMP brat)

Actually, Flying Dutchman, I’m talking to the Historic Sites and Monuments Board of Canada about getting it plaqued…

Yes it was a memorable occasion, but I can’t remeber the exact address. It was somewhere between the Hawaiian Garden Centre and the Queen Elizabeth Hwy on Lake St. if that helps  .

Btw, since you use the term Rodd Hill for your user name, doesn’t that mean you lived in Colwood ? Fort Rodd Hill was a great place for Canada Day celebrations as I remember.

Toronto, ON
Aliston, ON
Timmins, ON
Sault Ste Marie, ON
Whitby, ON
Hamilton, ON
Oshawa, ON

Brandon, MB
Regina, SK
Ottawa, ON
Calgary, AB
Montreal, PQ
Kingston, ON

All Alberta unless otherwise noted:

Edmonton
Gibbons
Edmonton (again)
Lac La Biche
Fort Macleod
Athabasca
Plamondon
Calgary
Lake Louise
Calgary
Yellowknife, NWT
Calgary
Red Deer (shudder)
Yellowknife, NWT
Edmonton
Kingston, Ontario
Yellowknife, NWT
Canmore

I moved to Maryland from Canmore. I loved Canmore. I couldn’t ever live in a small town like that again after living here, though. Maybe we’ll buy a place out there.

Edit: Dad lived in Wainwright and Cold Lake (Army) so I have lived in those places for summers, but I don’t count them.

I didn’t realize that you and Dave were brazillionaires.

House prices there are about 150% of those in Calgary, which are insane.

Yeah - more likely, we’ll buy a place in Barons or something to be near the parents.

Calgary, AB
Antigonish, NS
Calgary, AB

Not a particularly long list

All in B.C.

Fort St. John (Born & Raised)
Burnaby (SFU Campus)
Fort St. John
Kelowna
Fort St. John (Still here)

Hmm, I’m seeing a bit of a pattern there. This town just keeps bringing me back …

Saint John, New Brunswick (4 years)
North Hatley, Quebec (1 year)
Winnipeg, Manitoba (9 years)
Montreal, Quebec (12 years and counting)
