Considering that people have mentioned Soap and the fact that Benson was on Soap, I’m surprise that no one has mentioned the fact that Benson also left off with an unresolved cliffhanger.
In the final episode, Benson was running for governor against Governor Gatling (who was running as an independent). The final show ends with the Governor and Benson watching the returns together and with the news anchor about to announce who won.

Then, in sitcomland 2 Guys and a Girl.
in the last scene we find out that Ashley’s pregnant with Pete’s baby. And she’s not sure if she’s going to keep it or not. He tries to convince her to make a real go of it with him, she’s unsure…roll credits. grrrrr.
That one ended in a cliffhanger because they were suprised to be cancelled. At least judging from a contest they ran towards the end of the season with a prize of a walk on roll the next season.

They never actually showed the results of the Two Guys and a Girl poll on the air. And I’m not really sad I never saw that question answered, but I miss Two Guys and a Girl, I liked it.

I like the theory that FinnAgain proposed here, in another thread:
Book is a former Operative, now retired or decommissioned.

I’m almost positive this little tidbit will be revealed in a future comic.
Malcolm in the Middle never let us know the family’s last name.
Actually, that’s not quite true. Sharp-eyed viewers may have seen Malcolm wearing a nametag in the pilot eposide. Apparently, the name was also mentioned in a line that was nipped out of the pilot and never aired:
Malcolm was walking to school when a neighborhood kid came running up shouting, “Malcolm, Malcolm, Malcolm. I was talking to my parents last night - I was listening to them talk, and what’s your last name?” “Wilkerson, why?” Malcolm replied. “Oh. Who are the Pariahs?” said the other kid. The joke was eventually cut…
In the final episode, Malcolm is delivering the valedictorian address, and is introduced as “Malcolm <howl> <squeal>” - lost in a blast of PA system feedback.

And Cupid. Great show. But was he?

Oh yeah! I’d forgotten about that one. I always figured he and the psychiatrist would be Match 100 and that’s when we find out. But alas!

Knights of Prosperity. Will they successfully rob Ray Romano? If not, who is their next target? And how could they expect to take this premise through an entire season? Wouldn’t they either get caught and go to jail or give up trying after one too many unsuccessful attempts?

That show was canceled? I thought it was just on a very, very, very long hiatus. Son of a bitch.
Yeah, I loved that show. The final episode, with him running in the house, grabbing her and the kids and saying they need to get out, with the govt. guys busting in right after they run out. Even more of a cliff hanger than John Doe.
Hell yes. One of the best end-of-season cliffhangers I’ve ever seen.
Push, Nevada. I’m probably the only one who remembers that show. It was wierd and cool and the mystery of what was going on never got resolved.

So who/what was “My Big Fat Obnoxious Boss?”
It was a monkey wearing a Trump-esque toupee. He “choose” the person to be fired by spinning a carnival wheel with each remaining contestants name on it. Whomever came up, was fired.
No, I’m not joking. Check Wiki…
Personally, I’m still bitter about Brimstone. 113 damned souls running loose, and Stone got, what, 13 of them? Would Stone ever reconnect with his widow? How was the devil planning to cheat him on his “second chance at life” (because you know he was)? What would he have done about Ash in the long run? Who was really pulling the strings, given that Stone got a visit (and a bit of advice) from an un-fallen angel at one point?
