{{{Woman of Scorn}}}

I am so sorry to hear this terrible news. But I do want to tell you a little story that may give you some hope:

Hal and I married in July of 1999. I was 21, he was 31. We had known something was wrong with him for awhile, but no doctor could actually put their finger on what it was. Finally, in October of 1999 we found a doctor who knew exactly what was wrong with him…Graves Disease. We had never heard of it, but the doctor explained in detail what was going on in my husband’s body. They did the tests to see how bad it was and he was over the DEAD level. They didn’t know how he was still alive or how long he was going to live. They had never had to treat someone with a case this bad. To make a long story short, he had the treatments and is alive and well today.

I want you to know I do understand what you are going through at such a young age. I was also terrified of being a widow in my early 20s. If you need to talk, please do not hesitate to email me.

You and your husband are in my thoughts and prayers.

I do love all the well wishes :smiley:

Right now we are trying to go back to our normal routine. It’s so nice to have him home again (he’s sitting on the couch behind me).

Friday we go to the doc’s to see when he can go back to work and I guess find out when the staples will come out, I don’t know.

Guess we just won’t know anything more until we can be trasferred to little rock. Now we just wait.

And wait.

More well wishes coming your way, and prayers for you and your husband, Woman of Scorn. I hope that the waiting isn’t too interminable, and that you can still find some enjoyment from your holidays. hugs
