Canned octopus and squid

Hello all,

Last time I went crazy impulse-buying at the Asian supermarket, I came home with a few cans of octopus and squid. I’m not sure what I intended to do with them, or if they will be any good. I love calamari, but I’m not going to deep-fry anything at home. What I’d love to do is try out some kind of Greek or Mediterranean recipes with them, since I’ve heard about wonderful things. Something to do with marinating in vinegar and olive oil, maybe to toss them with pasta? Does anyone have any good recipes to share, or advice? Will the canned stuff I bought taste distinctly “Asian,” and if so, what do you suggest I do with that?

You know, I realize it is not what they mean, but every time I hear the screams of an intiateat, I think about roast goat, and calamari. Anyway, here are prep. tips and recipes .

Unless it countains spices, or seasame oil, why would it?

rub it with milk, and wash it well.

Eat it as is with pickled vegs, warm rice and tea.

Western style has its guts removed and skinned. Us asians eat it all.
