Bob Stevens was a cartoonist who drew military/aviation comics. In one, there is a disappointed soldier reading a letter while sitting next to a box of tins. The letter is from his mother/wife/relative, and reads something like ‘We saved up our ration stamps so that we could send you this SPAM.’

I once read an account of a Dutch missionary in what is now Indonesia, who claimed that one of his converts had told him that the flesh of a young girl’s buttock was considered to be the choicest portion.
I can’t speak for the people of Hawaii. However, I have met and interviewed three individuals who have actually eaten human flesh: for two of them it was during the Battle of Stalingrad and the third during the siege of Leningrad in World War II. They all agreed that the taste of human flesh is close to pork.
Dang! Can’t find Cartoons Even We Wouldn’t Dare Print (I’m sure I still have it somewhere), but found and skimmed through Can’t find Cartoons Even We Wouldn’t Dare Print II: The Sequel and saw the following cartoon. Of course not as effective as seeing it but:

Caption: “Hey, how about a vegetable?”
The Donner party were idiots. Besides going the wrong way at the wrong time with the wrong guidance, they repulsed local Native Americans who tried to help them. Duh.

Cannibalism is not an unknown theme in Charles Addams cartoons. My favorite is the one where the cannibal is conversing with a medical missionary, while a giant pot of water boils merrily in the background.
“Why yes, doctor, we’ve had a taste of Western medicine.”

I have The World of Chas Addams and Charles Addams: The Addams Family: an Evilution. I’ll have to check the former to see if that cartoon is in it. (Might be in the second, but I have a feeling the former is a better option.)

In a similar vein, two cannibals squatting on the ground, one with a ‘yuck’ expression on his face, amidst missionary leavings. The other is saying, “I agree; he was a very bitter man.”
Did you hear about the cannibal who passed his enemy in the jungle?
Dunno. They didn’t seem to care. 
Two cannibals are having dinner. One says “Boy, your wife sure makes a delicious stew!”
The other one says “Yeah, I’m gonna miss her.”
What did the cannibal do after he dumped his girlfriend?
He wiped.
I imagine cannibals would be fond of Girl Scout Cookies.
