Cannot find a "lantern" without buying the battery too

My google skills have totally escaped me. We bought some 6V lantern batteries for use in some cub scout/boy scout activities. We didn’t use 3 of them. So, I figure why not get some lanterns and each of us in the household would now have “emergency” lanterns for our cars.

Sounds simple. You can buy regular flashlights without a set of batteries. But it seems I cannot find a vendor who sells 6V lanterns without including the battery. The batteries last long and they’re not cheap per se. The point is I’m trying match lanterns with already bought batteries.

Does anyone have any ideas, or know of an online camping site that sells these lanterns “naked”?

I googled a few but I don’t know if any of them are any good. Seem to be around $6-9.

Here was my search so you can find more.

Are you looking for a flashlight that uses the big 6V dry cell batteries? You can probably get them but flashlights with built in rechargeable batteries probably don’t cost any more. A lot of flashlight sales are promoted by the battery companies so they can compete with the rechargeable market.

No, looking lanterns/big flashlights that use 1 humongous 6V battery, not 4 individual 1.5V cells.

Would also like it to be waterproof, or floatable.
