Can't chemically castrated people just take testosterone

From what I know of bodybuilding and anabolic steroid use one of the side effects of the drug nandrolone was impotence and a lack of interest in sex. I think this is due to nandrolone increasing progesterone levels (progesterone is used for chemical castration). However the people who got this side effect just countered it by taking more testosterone. So what is to stop sex offenders from just taking anabolic steroids to counteract the progesterone in their system?

Well to begin with Testosterone in a very controlled drug in most countries. (I get mine here over the counter.) Next it is a very dangerous drug. It was a major cause of several major wars. It also screws up your blood pressure, causes male pattern baldness and other side effects.

Finally, sex drive is more than testosterone. I can guarantee you my T2 and T3 levels are normal. I just had a blood test. Despite this, I am in a nadir of sexual desire because of some recent emotional traumas.

So, testosterone does ‘help’ sex drive, but it is not a one-shot solution to chemical (or other) castration.

Whoosh?

Sorry, I have said that so many times as a joke it now just comes out automatically.

That’s cool, at least I get it.
In retrospect, really, I’m pretty sure the Transgalactic Testosterone Wars don’t happen until 2185.
