I work in a store that closes early on Friday for the Jewish Sabbath. We post the closing time every week. Yet, people still walk in and, upon hearing a chorus of “We’re closed” keep on walking.

I actually had this conversation As I was going out the door twenty minutes after closing:

“We closed at 2:15.”
“I only need one thing.”
“We are closed.”
“I came a long way to shop here.”
“We. Are. Closed.”
“It’s only one item.”
“The sign says we close at 2:15. What time is it now?”
Person looks at watch. “2:35. Oh, you’re closed.”

To be clear, the Frisco referred to by the OP is not the city in California inhabited by people who do not like the nickname “Frisco”. It is a largish suburb north of Dallas, that has experienced recent explosive growth. It’s the very epitome of suburban sprawl, and the sort of place that hipsters or hippies or yuppies or college students tend to viscerally dislike. Think McMansions, near total unwalkability, SUVs, soccer moms, “good schools”, huge shopping centers, megachurches.

There is also a Frisco Colorado, a tony mountain resort community full of fancy vacation condos that looks a lot like it would be populated with a similar sort. At least, when it is populated.
