…my favourite Captain Jack moment: (Children of Earth Spoilers)
In Torchwood: Children of Earth, Captain Jack, encased in concrete has just been rescued by Gwen, Ianto and Rhys. He is dropped from the top of a mountain, cracking the concrete and releasing the now naked Captain Jack. Gwen hands him his jacket to cover his modesty. Jack takes the jacket and instead of covering up, throws it over his shoulder and walks off with his rescuers, naked as a jaybird.
To add to the deliciousness that is the greco-roman answer in this poll, I keep hearing the Harkness dialogue following * in Captain Reynolds’ voice…I have no idea why, and right now, I don’t care.
I’ll be in my bunk.
*Jack Harkness: Ever faced another good guy before?
Jack Sparrow: Nope.
Jack Harkness: Me neither.
Jack Sparrow: Kinda makes you wonder what’ll happen.
Jack Harkness: I figure the good guy’ll win, just like always.
Jack Sparrow: Yeah, except we’re both good guys.
Jack Harkness: Then I figure the most good good guy will win.
Jack Sparrow: That’s how I figure, too.
Jack Harkness: Yep.
Then Harkness proceeds to shoot Sparrow in the hand.
LOL. Jack nothing.
Barrowman FOUGHT to be able to do that scene in the nude. W/O letting his castmates know what was in the wind before the scene was shot. Literally. Eve Miles’ expression is totally in the moment!
Jack Sparrow is probably second only to Keith Richards (upon whom he is based) in being able to injest massive amounts of narcotics and still live. And Jack Harkness is immortal. Heroin wouldn’t stand a chance against them.
On a somewhat related note, I was in a video store yesterday. And they had the Torchwood DVD’s filed in the documentary section. And they weren’t misplaced - they were in a labelled bin.
Most likely this indicates a complete lack of knowledge about the show. But the other possibility is somebody working at that store has a very unusual worldview.
