The FBI doesn’t track hate groups because they don’t agree with their politics and want to persecute them, they track them because they’ve historically been involved with violent criminal activity and terrorism, including bombings, bank robberies, murders, burning of synagouges and black churches, etc. When a founder of the American Nazi Party (which was once suspected by the FBI of a conspiracy to assassinate the prime minister of Canada and President Nixon) is busted running a covert operation fronted as a hardware store, you betcha the feds are going to want to at least take a look at it to make sure that all they’re doing is distributing material and conducting (ahem) “worship services”. If they just assumed everything was on the up-and-up and a major incident took place they wouldn’t be doing their jobs.
Without getting into the whole issue of who is eligible to be insulted, I suspect that one objection, here, is that they are not here to defend themselves. When various promoters of white supremacy have appeared on these boards, they have generally been met with a substantial amount of ridicule.
(Besides, they are not the group that is insulted when one refers to them as inbred–rather, those whose parents have been too closely related suffer the insult.)
There is no issue. Everyone is eligible. Heck, even hypothetical entities and abstract concepts are open to insult and ridicule. All the time. And quite frequently, as in this case, they deserve it.
