Car directories

Where are they online?!? I can’t find a one of 'em!

I was just in the worst car thread, and was trying to figure something out. I just want a list of model years that Plymouth made the Volare. I’m pretty sure they just made it in 1977-79, but can’t find anything!!! Please help…I’m going to break something…

I went to yahoo.com and did a search of “+volare +car” (without the quotes) and the first link that came up was

http://www.allpar.com/model/aspen.html

Here is the first few sentences from that site.

The Dodge Aspen and Plymouth Volare were introduced in the fall of 1975 as 1976 models. They were the successors to the A body Valiant and Dart (along with
their like-bodied but other-named friends). The A body continued on through the 1976 model year alongside the new models and was then dropped.
The Aspen and Volare were produced for 5 model years–1976 through 1980–and were replaced by the smaller, 4 cylinder, front wheel drive K body Dodge
Aries and Plymouth Reliant for the 1981 model year. (Many would argue that they were actually replaced by the M body Dodge Diplomat and Plymouth Gran Fury,
but these occupied a higher price class, albeit using a very similar platform, body, and drivetrain).

Try yahoo next time.
***Yahoo good!

But I DID use Yahoo!

What do the “+”'s do?

Oh! The + before a word makes it manditory for a site to include that word. For instance if you do a search of “shoestore peanuts” you will get links to pages that have either the word shoestore or peanuts. If you do a search of “+shoestore +peanuts”, you get results dealing with shoestores -and- peanuts. If you do a search of “+shoestore peanuts” you get results that always deal with shoestores, but may, or may not, have peanuts. If you click on the “advanced search” thingy, all this stuff (and a crapload more) is explained. The “+” seems to be the most useful for me though.

That is quite possibly the most useful fact I have learned in the last three months.

You can always just use Kelly Blue book: http://www.kbb.com

that would tell ya too.

CandyMan

Nope. Sorry CandyMan, the online blue book only goes back 20 years. Volares are MUCH older than that.

Man, I loved that slant 6…

I guess this is an instance of when the CandyMan CAN’T…:stuck_out_tongue:

Blah, wouldn’t be the first time… but I had too much to drink and a lot of stress at work and…
