Car names that you can drive on

On my commute home the other day I noticed a BMW 128, which caught my eye since I was driving on Rt 128. I was trying to think of other cars which could be driven on or in their namesakes. I figure there are three classes here that could work.

[ul]
[li]Numerical names - like the BMW 128, the Audi A4, or the BMW M5[/li][li]Place names - the Hyundai Santa Fe or the Chevy Malibu[/li][li]Specific locations - the Pontiac LeMans[/li][/ul]

So, how many can we come up with? I think we need to be a little strict with the rules; it has to be the full, official name of the car, and it needs to match the road or location exactly.

I’ve driven a beetle over a beetle before. Does that count?

I’ve escaped in my Escape. Does that work?

Tahoe
Tundra
Denali
Modena
Monza

Generic location: Chevy El Camino.

Hyundai Tucsons are definitely driven in Tucson.

But there probably aren’t a lot of Alfa Romeo Montreals driving around Montreal.

For an alternate definition of “on”

Pontiac solstice.

Or the Mitsubishi Eclipse. You’ve got to really plan ahead for that one.

My Volt runs on 240 volts, does that count?

(Well, charges off of. I think the battery is 300 volts.)

Any numbered car can drive on that year/date/time with enough torture to the premise.

Buick Park Avenue
Mercury Monterey

Frontier
Ridgeline
Edge
Outback
McLaren P1
Ranchero
Canyonero!

Monaco
Yukon

How about a Model T at certain intersections?

I assume that A2, A3, A4, A5, A6, and A7 all exist as roads in Great Britain. As well as the M2, M4, and M5. Are there roads that start with R, S, or Q?

I wouldn’t mind cruising around Sebring Florida in a Sebring converitble.

Daytona

Durango.

Ontario has a Highway 500, and Washington & Ohio both have a SR 500. Ford has a car called the 500.

Washington, Ohio and NY also have SR 300s, and Chrysler has a car called the 300.

Actually, Ohio has an E. 300th St. in Wickliffe (near Lake Erie).
