Car Question

Maybe this is an easy one, I have no idea.

I have a 95 Ford Probe. The car isn’t in the greatest shape but it runs pretty well, hasn’t given me any major issues (knock on wood). This morning, however the airbag light started flashing - I have a list of the diagnostic codes so when I get back to my car tonight, I should be able to figure that bit out myself.

I stopped for gas, and turned the car back on, and the lights stopped flashing. Good deal, I thought. About five minutes later, I started hearing this beeping sound. At first, I thought it was the radio, so I turned the radio off. No luck - beeping was still there. I looked at my cell phone to make sure it wasn’t the source, and it wasn’t. After a minute, I realized, the beeping is coming from under the dashboard, around the center of the dash. No lights flashing, just a beeping from behind the dash. I called the local dealership and he said he had no idea why it would be beeping. Unfortunately, finances dictate that I can’t actually bring the thing in to be serviced right now.

I’m wondering if the two events - flashing airbag light, beeping - are related to each other? Or purely coincidence. Hoping maybe someone has some insight into what might beep under a car dash.

Thanks!
