Reminds me of a Knight Rider episode. KITT dealt with several wanna be thieves with similar comedic results.
the video of this incident could be used in a 3 Stooges film.

There was a similar video on (i think) The World’s Dumbest…
This one involved a store front and two geniuses. After watching his buddy get taken down, the other guy picked up the same brick and tried it himself.
Same result.
Very, very cool.
Rage Against the Human! Car 1, Thief 0.
Odd how sometimes car glass can be fragile and sometimes not. This guy spent 30 mins trying rocks to break the glass before using the brick. Amazing that it just bounced off.
Car glass can be fragile. I saw a news clip demonstration warning women about purse snatching. She was boxed in at a red light with her purse on the car seat. This thief punched the passenger door glass and it shattered. He grabbed the purse and was gone in like 30 seconds. They said he had something between his fingers that scratched the safety glass and made it easy to shatter. Apparently this tactic was common with street thieves. They were warning women to keep their purse on the floor and out of sight.
And Meet the Fockers.
Its a disgrace!
You’d think a car thief from Ireland would know how to use a half-brick…
Yup. Trying hitting a window with your hand; as hard as you can. I bet nothing will happen. Take a window punch (similar to an awl) & *press *it against the same window & POP, you just shattered the glass w/o that much effort. Safety glass isn’t strong against needle-like pressure.
If you’ve ever seen a rescue hammer it doesn’t have a flat hitting surface like a claw hammer that’s used to pound nails; instead, it has a small point on the head of the hitting surface.
Of course, tempered glass has some other unique properties (skip to 2:00).
