Me, too, and Prince hit me really hard. She was so open about her failings and probably helped many others along the way. She had wonderful comebacks for people who criticized her. I’m very glad she was able to make that last movie.
Dammit all to hell.
Yeah not surprised. If she went into full cardiac arrest while in the air as reports indicated that means she had no heartbeat for quite a while before advanced life support was able to get to her. Even with competent CPR the chances of her surviving were small.
So depressing.

I heard it on the radio – it started “Carrie Fisher” and I thought maybe the next line would be “has left the hospital” but unfortunately no. I actually thought “Noooo” like in whatever prequel that bad line was in (it expressed my feelings perfectly)
I believe her scenes are done for Episode VIII. I hope they don’t CGI her in Episode IX. (I was fine for her 10 second appearance in R1).

TMZ confirms Carrie had finished all her scenes for VIII.
They also are reporting Carrie never regained consciousness after leaving the plane.
Damn. I just watched Star Wars (aka “A New Hope”) for the 100th+ time yesterday. Such an iconic role, and in no small part due to her confident portrayal of Leia.
I also recently watched one of the Hallmark/Lifetime cheesy Christmas movies, “It’s Christmas, Carol!” in which she played a cantankerous ghost. Feisty to the end.
