I see Scylla as Brain from Pinky and the Brain. And Fenris as Pinky. 
The Vixen Triplets often bring Minerva Mink to mind.
I am quite sure Scylla looks like Alley Oop. And Fenris looks like Phineas Phreak of the Fabulous Furry Freak Brothers.
I always see Crunchy Frog as Calvin from Calvin and Hobbes, just all grown up.
