Theseare too cool. Ignore the fact that duck beaks are not made of bone, 'kay?
The road runner looks like something that should be chasing Sam Neil and Laura Dern through a jungle.
When I read the thread title I immediately thought of Simpsons skeletons, particularly Bart, where spikes on his skull corresponded to his spiky hair.
I don’t think it really matters that the beak isn’t made of bone. It’s not like our nose, they…linger. When I was in high school we had a dog that decided to kill all our chickens and ducks. We thought one of the ducks got away, but two years later I found the skeleton under a bush. The beak was still there, perfectly intact.
One of the best things about cartoon skeletons is that when they walk, they sound like xylophones.
I did not know that. [/Ed McMahon]

You bitch and moan about zombies, now you bitch about a thread started today as “kind of old.” What the fuck do you want from us?
Joe
Relevant information?
He’s posting about an art exhibit from three years ago. As far as I know, very few (if any) Dopers are from the country it was showed in.
Are you stalking me? :dubious:
I don’t understand why you’re so butt hurt. Don’t read my comments. Neither of the ones you replied to were in threads you started or directed to you. So, what’s your problem?
You added nothing to either discussion. Granted, I added nothing to the Chevy Chase discussion, but I reserve the right to do whatever I damn well please, as should you.
And no, I’m not stalking you. I did post before you did in this very thread. Take that, Norman Einstein!
Joe
Um, if I bother you that much just ignore me. I’m not posting to you (or about you) anyway.
I’m sorry I’d like relevant information. Like I said, just ignore me.
Let’s dial it back some.
I know that the discussion has now moved to the Pit (where it belongs), but it still needs to be said.
[poster]And for the record, Twickster is a she, not a he.[/poster]
Actually, they are, at least inside. The outside is a horny sheath. So the bird skeletons in the exhibition are anatomically correct.
Cool exhibit. (And many of the images shown in a Google search on “duck skeleton” are of Donald and his nephews from the show.)
Maybe it’s cuz I was never a big player of the game…but to my knowledge Pac never had teeth
Whoa. Cool.
The blog post is new. The exhibit doesn’t appear to have been mentioned here before (there was a 2004 thread about “cartoon skeletons,” but the link is now broken and the artist name seems to be different). And if we aren’t in the country, that just means that an online pointer is likely our only way to see them.
So this is a strange sort of thing to be annoyed with.
Anyway, I appreciated it. Though I hadn’t realized they were all dead.
Nitpick,
I did not know that. [/Johnny Carson]
ETA: Cool link, Twix.
