Apparently Gilda Radnor.
Gilda who?
Gilda Radner. A very funny woman, one of the original SNL cast and a former Mrs Gene Wilder.
This one for Robin Williams was lovely.
How quickly we forget! :smack: ![]()
A long time ago now but for Jerry Garcia: http://www.hoboes.com/pub/Fenario/Jerry/bustear/
Explanation for those too young: The VW Micro-bus was associated with Hippies & Dead-Heads, thus the tear.
Good one for Alan Rickman
What’s all this about Gilda grab her? Gilda shouldn’t be grabbing anybody. She should… what? … Radner? … Oh!..Never mind.
WHAT? Read about Bowie’s acting chops before making the statement. I saw him The Elephant Man, playing the title role on Broadway with no makeup. And he was wonderful. More here
Stretching the definition of actor my bony ass.
My mom gave me a framed print of this way back then.
I only meant because his primary gig was Musician. No disrespect meant towards his acting ability!
Thisone too.
How quickly we forget how to spell, you mean. I’ve known about Gilda Radner since the first SNL shows. Gilda Radnor, not so much.
Not sure I would call this a “tribute” exactly given the nature of the strip, but here’s one for Charlton Heston.
The DKR Batman has been adapted for video, though. Peter Weller provided the voice. Further, there’s a minor connection to Adam West in that West reprised his role for another animated film, Batman; Return of the Caped Crusaders. This movie basically plays like an animated version of the 1960s TV series, though it gets darker in tone when Batman, under the effect of one of Catwoman’s drugs, starts to display increased aggression. At one point, he delivers a beating to Joker, Penguin and Riddler that goes beyond the cartoonish “POW!” level into something approaching quite serious brutality.
Batman: This isn’t a space station, it’s an operating table. And I’m the surgeon!
