Casey Anthony . Guilty or not ?

  1. I was agreeing with you on the effects of chloroform.

  2. I think she’s too frazzlebrained to make it too.

  3. Disagree. George would’ve known about all her lies to the police while she was being investigated. No evidence has been given from George’s testimony that her lies were inspired by him. Whatever happened to the poor girl, it was all Casey. Her lies were as random as her social behavior. And seeing happy, smiling photos of Casey with Caylee doesn’t prove she was doing a good job. Her actions (partying, lying, stealing from friends and family) say much more about her than some photos.

  1. George could be charged with misdemeanor child neglect, esp since Caylee was staying at George’s home which meant that George was the ultimate defacto baby sitter responsible for watching Caylee and letting her drown.

  2. George could also be charged with owning an unsafe pool allowing a child access to the pool and drowning. A homeowner is responsible for his pool, must have a fence and must take precautions to prevent children from getting into pool. Anytime a child dies in a swimming pool, the pools owner could be criminally charged.

If Caylee drowned in George’s pool, it would be** George** that would be arrested and criminally charged for Caylee’s death… not Casey.

Obviously, Casey learned to lie, and got her odd behavior, from her mother and father. Casey, Cindy, and George are all 3 liars and weird.

I’m not getting why they simply didn’t call an ambulance when it happened, if that’s is indeed the way it happened. Who thinks to themselves, upon discovering their grand/daughter dead “we better cover this up even though she accidentally drown”?

I would have been too hysterical to think beyond calling 911. My Father would have been also.

Too bizarre.

Actually, in Florida, it would be a felony that George would have been charged with.

Who? An ex-cop, that is who.
An ex-cop who knows the law and knows that he could be charged with a criminal felony (s) because of that child’s death in his swimming pool.

George certainly had the motive to not report a negligent death caused by His swimming pool and because **HE **was not watching Caylee.

Is there any chance at a verdict here that would where: A.) Justice would be served. And B.) Nancy Grace’s head will explode so we don’t have to listen to her ever again? Cause if so that’s what I support.

So we have:

Caylee drowned in the pool, through negligence on both George and Casey, they found her and decided to cover it up, they kept poor Cindy in the dark and she inadvertently blew their cover when she reported the missing car. Body was already buried in a location only 19 feet from a road, easily accessible to a meter reader. Since this location is so ordinary and easy to find and smell (as Susanann pointed out) it probably wasn’t George who chose said location, frazzled Casey chose it. Unless George told her to bury it there in hopes that Casey gets the blame for it.

OR…

Casey couldn’t handle the young motherhood, an accident happened (drugging her, paving her in a hot car, etc) or Casey planned to kill Caylee (drugging her, smothering her, etc.) then buried the body and pretended to forget about it till the car was reported stolen and her cover was blown. She then lies over and over while going to jail for theft and partying otherwise.

I vote for number two. Still don’t know HOW this poor kid died, but I’m disappointed on both the prosecution and defense cases.

  1. It was George who picked the spot, knowing that a decomposing body placed 19 feet from the road would be quickly found by a passerby walking his dog. George wanted the body placed in such a location so the body would be found. George obviously WANTED the body to be found. It should have been found within days.

  2. I doubt Casey was the one to take it there. Casey is not smart enough to leave no fingerprints, leave no dna, leave no soil, leave no fibers and no hair, leave nothing that the FBI could identify. Only a cop could ensure that the site of the body had no evidence at all. Casey is not capable of disposing of a body with no detectable trace. Casey is not smart enough to think to leave a body so it will be immediately found.

George’s goal was not to put the blame on Casey, so much as to make sure that the blame was not on George. George’s only goal was that George not go to prison.

Evidence shows otherwise.

  1. Casey chose not to have an abortion.

  2. Casey chose not to give Caylee to Cindy.

  3. Casey chose not to give the baby to Casey’s girlfriend told Casey she wanted to adopt the baby if Casey did not want it.

  4. All the photos and testimony from others says that Casey loved, took care of, cared for, was always accompanied by and wanted her daughter.

  5. Casey was aware that she could put Caylee up for adoption at the state adoption agency at any time and someone would take Caylee immediately.

  6. If Casey wanted freedom, Casey, as a police officers daughter, is smart enough to know that giving away or selling the baby will give much more freedom than going to prison for murder. The 22 year-old daughter of a cop knows enough that murder and prison is not a valid option compared to items 1-5 listed above.

The grandparents could’ve fought for custody based on her irregular behavior.

Besides, maybe you have a point with George picking the spot because it turned out to be a FANTASTIC location for it. 5 months, was it? Plenty of time for it to decompose and suffer weather conditions to guarantee an “inconclusive” cause of death. Of course, if George DID pick the spot and plan on the inconclusive COD, he would’ve had to know the cause of death first, knowing there was no broken bones or signs of trauma.

If Casey never continually lied and didn’t seem so unemotional during the initial missing (before the cops knew about it), you may be able to swing me more towards George doing the whole damn thing.

Yeah, I’m totally not buying that it was all George.

No, me neither. Since I can’t tell how little Caylee died, I don’t know if this was premeditated or not, attempted to cover up or not, yadda yadda yadda.

I think Casey’s guilty of everything except first degree murder, but I think that will be the verdict FL comes up with. I lean more towards accidental because of how Casey, lime most mothers I imagine, panic if the kid is missing for ten seconds, let alone a month before reported by someone else.

Damn poor kid.'What happened to the days when a young mother wanted to sport the new human around the neighborhood and everyone stops to look and congratulate, wish them the best, tell the mom she’s straight from heaven and all that?

Wait, that was B&W TV.

I think she’s guilty of negligent homicide and child abuse, not first degree murder.

  1. Casey didn’t abort beacuse pregnancy gave her attention that she clearly craves.

  2. Casey did not give Caylee to her mother because it she would then lose leverage with Cindy. Note that the leverage is in Casey’s own mind. As in the “you will never see your granddaughter” leverage.

  3. Yeah, she didn’t give Caylee up to her friend because then she would lose leverage with her parents who were supporting both of them.

  4. No sustained times of care are supported by the few photo ops. For every smiling Casey/Caylee photo you can find there are 10 of Casey partying.

  5. If Casey put Caylee up for adoption she would lose the family support she knew and loved. She wasn’t working and could not support her lifestlye.

As for #6 you have been arguing that she is too stupid to have done everything in this entire case. So which is it? Is she too smart or too stupid? In reality she had to take Caylee when she wanted to party. Her parents were pushing her hard to take responsibility. She drugged her and put her in a room somewhere or in the trunk. Caylee died. She freaked and started lying as she knows best lie, lie and lie.

Good points! I still feel it’s all Casey in this and why anyone leans towards George as an alleged abuser makes me wonder why it should go to him as far as responsibility.

We don’t know if Caylee drowned, we don’t know if she was murdered on purpose. The responsibility to the victim, Caylee, was only a dependent of her mom, not of grandparents. Ultimately, she is responsible. And if she died to to negligence from Georgie George, why wouldn’t she say something? Why blame fictional people? Unless you’re guilty?

I’m amazed that anyone here is actually buying the prosecution’s BS that George was at all involved. Did you read his suicide note? Do you really think George was that cold and calculated?
George isn’t the one who spun elaborate lies for years. George didn’t go out celebrating after Caylee was dead.
If George forced Casey to cover it up, why did she wait until the trial to finally “come clean” about the drowning? She stuck with the story about Zanny the Nanny for a long time after she was in jail.
I’m sure that Casey was the only one involved with Caylee’s death, but unfortunately there’s not enough evidence to show exactly how Caylee died.

I agree. George has no more responsibility in this matter than you or I have. Casey killed her daughter, carried the body in the trunk of her car for a few days, then wrapped her in trash bags and tossed her like so much trash in the wooded area.

After hearing the prosecution’s rebuttal this morning, I’m pretty sure I’d be able to cast a “guilty” on all counts vote. If it was some freak accident there’s just no way Casey would’ve responded to it the way that she did. I’d say it’s equally likely as likely that a UFO from Mars killed the child than an accidental drowning.
It really does boil down to common sense.

Letters from her family can be found here for anyone interested.

I do find it odd that George would be worried about Casey gaining too much weight in prison.

This letter was written after the allegations of molestation were brought up.
