Casey Anthony . Guilty or not ?

If, by some freak of nature, Casey gets off, she’s headed for a life of infamy. She’s destroyed her family and any life they will ever have. All of them will need to move deep within the Antarctic to find a minute of peace.

Poor Cindy. Cindy lost her granddaughter, Cindy lost her daughter, Cindy lost her husband, Cindy lost her job, Cindy lost her reputation, and Cindy might be going to prison for 15 years for perjury.

The point of the molestation accusation was to try to give her some motive for acting so strangely after the “accidental drowning”. Baez tried to say that she’s been hiding her pain her whole life, so it comes second nature to her, and that’s why she went out partying, got a “Bella Vita” tattoo, and wrote journal entries about how she was the happiest she’d ever been.

Makes a lot more sense than both the other stories put up by the prosecution and the defense.

Your story seems to pretty much fit most of the pieces together with no loose ends,

EXCEPT: your story does not explain Roy Kronk messing with the body several times in August, November, and December, and your story also does not explain why nobody driving by or walking their dog smelled and found the dead body just 19 feet from the road, does not explain why Roy Kronk did not walk 5 feet to pick up the skull and then call Nancy Grace to collect his $250,000.00 reward, and your story also does not explain why the other searchers in that tiny piece of woods, not once but twice did not find the body.

You need to come up with a good reason why that body was not found by anybody except Roy Kronk nor does your story explain away what Roy Kronk did with/to the body during those 3 months.

So George is a criminal mastermind, and luckily for him Casey had been lying for years, went out and celebrated, and kept up the story about the nanny until the trial when she figured OK, I might as well finally tell the truth about George molesting me and an accidental drowning.

I doubt the prosecution’s scenario is 100% accurate, but guess what? It doesn’t have to be. Casey is obviously guilty as sin: did you listen to any of her phone conversations after she was in jail? Like the one where her mom tells her the “newest story” in the media is that the kid drowned in the pool, to which Casey rolls her eyes and says “surprise, surprise.”?

Verdict Reached. Will be announced at 2:15 EST

10 hours is pretty fast. Is that an indication that the verdict won’t be first degree?

IIRC one of the jurors is a retired nurse who even mentioned during voir dire that she’d smelled dead bodies.

Oooooh. That quick, eh? Usually not a good sign for the defendant…

You’ve made this comment several times in this thread. It’s a silly argument. I can’t tell you how many time I’ve smelled decomposition while riding my motorcycle. Have you ever smelled a dead deer while driving by in the open air? That smell has never made me think, “Huh that must be a murdered little girl. I’d better stop and tromp around through the mud to investigate.”

Every time I’ve smelled it, I just assume it’s road kill and keep going.

I think she’ll be found guilty of 1st degree murder, but they usually don’t give women death no matter how cruel the crime is. So she’ll be in prison for life.

Verdict is in, will be announced at 2:15 Eastern. I think she’ll be found guilty of Capital Murder, with a sentencing phase to start fairly soon, where the jury would decide on the death penalty.

ETA: this is redundant now, did not see the earlier announcement upthread prior to posting.

She deserves the death penalty.

Not Guilty. Sure glad I’m not a citizen of Florida. She’s going home with a clear conscious.

i’ll be damned.

I’m stunned.

Quite a turn of events…

What can I say, I was wrong. Smart jury, though.

I’m not all that surprised. There wasn’t really any hard evidence of how she killed the kid, although it is quite clear from a common sense viewpoint (to me) that she’s guilty as sin. I don’t blame the jury at all.

By the way, I think the prosecution did a great job for what little evidence they were provided.
