Cat dumped a Coke into the wife's laptop.

(bolding mine)

Leave it outside, like, on the back porch.
(Sounds like it might even work. Can’t see how it could hurt, at this point.)

I spilled water on my (desktop) keyboard a few days ago and dried it in the sun for a few hours. Plugged it back in and every key except “c” worked. I took it apart and found part of the circuit corroded, so I drew over it with a pencil. It worked again after that.

In your case you’d have to remove the keyboard and clean up the coke residue first, but if after that it still doesn’t work you could try the above method.

A Contact Cleaner is better than alcohol for this kind of thing.

So the cat screwed the pooch, eh?

Actually, the single greatest expense is buying the snake-eating gorillas to eat the Chinese Needle Snakes that you bought to prey on the Bolivian tree lizards that you introduced to drive out the anteaters. And then disposing of all the dead snake-eating gorillas after they freeze to death in wintertime.

I guess biological pest control is harder than it looks.

I don’t think ants are attracted to Coke Zero. The OP should pour some syrup on his keyboard first.
