I just choked on my peanut butter malt. You win the thread.
<Don LaFontaine>In a World… Where cats in shark suits chase ducks on a Roomba…</Don LaFontaine>
duck left something for the roomba on the 1:00 mark. that is all.
It really should have been “Cat in a shark suit, while riding a roomba, chases a duck” to clear up this unfortunate grammatical ambiguity leading us to believe the duck may be on the roomba.
Nah, the “while” makes it clear that it is referring to the cat.
Also, this would have been better with music. And I want a shark suit for my baby. And a functioning roomba.
Pretty much for me as well. Nothing in that video made any sense at all.
The duck clearly wanted a ride on the roomba, and waddled around after it with a “Me, too! Me, too!” attitude. What a very good-natured cat…with a great purr, too. The silliness made me laugh.
I wonder how many times the cat owner(s) had to keep putting the cat on the Roomba before it would stay or if the cat figured out how to ride (and clearly enjoy the ride!) it all on its own.
I thought this was going to be a “made for SyFy Channel” movie.
Okay, that’s just…creepy!

Seriously. I have a sister I haven’t spoken with in years, because her idea of staying in touch consisted of sending me about ten emails a week, all in the “You HAVE to watch this [nine-minute] video! The cat does something SO FUNNY at about six minutes!”
Life is too short for (1) Chess. (2) Bad books. (3) Funny cat videos.
what are you doing here? we didn’t email you.
Got it. Amateur Barbarian is above watching funny cat videos.
I’m going to write that down on a post it note and stick it on my refrigerator.
Thanks for sharing.
Eh, he’s still an amateur barbarian. Professional barbarians appreciate the subtle and persistent destructive forces funny cat videos have on the fabric of society.
Yes, but not all funny cat videos are created equal! How many funny cat videos have:
- A cat in a shark suit
- A cat riding a Roomba
- A duckling
- A dog in a hammerhead shark suit
Answer: only one!
It truly is a disturbingly complex video, and it shakes my faith in the ability of society to endure the elevating levels of cute infesting the internets. The Barbarians are truly at the gates. Had the dog been a pug puppy, or pssibly a marmot, that very well could have brought it all down.
Why is the video labeled “cat . . . chases a duck”? Aside from a couple of instances when the duck just got out of the way of the Roomba to avoid being run over, the duck was clearly chasing the cat/Roomba, not the other way around. The duck either wanted a ride or wanted to hang out with the cat.
Easy peasy. You can just stop writing posts about the things you don’t waste time doing and that’ll free up enough time for you to watch the video. Or learn the Ruy Lopez, it’s up to you.
Y U B so picky?!?
I bet you would have kicked them, too!
