Recently my wife found a roll-up screen door that attaches to interior doorways… basically something we can use to let our cats look into our baby’s room without being able to go inside. But now that we are ready to buy the screen, we can’t find it!! Google searches keep coming up with outdoor screens, pet doors, etc. But the perfect product that we have seen and know exists has eluded us!! :smack:
Any dopers know about these roll-up screens for interior doors? Any idea what they’re called and where we can get them?
The first one goes up with Velcro and has a rigid, foldable frame. I think the second one just hangs like a curtain, though, so a cat could still get where she shouldn’t.
We have two-at the bottom of the stairs, because the dog can’t be trusted upstairs (she gets into everything) and in the laundry room, which is basically the cat’s room, where their litterboxes are, and where we have beds and blankets for them. It works pretty well. But they totally do nothing to keep the cats out.
We have a screen door on our baby’s room and it works perfectly to keep our cat out. What we did was take the regular door off, then install a wooden screen door. Ours was made by my father-in-law, but I’m sure you could just buy one from a hardware store to fit.
I extended the height of the baby gate. I bought it at a garden shop: knee-high plastic fencing/trellis lattice that’s supposed to be put outdoors in a garden.I attached it to the top of the baby gate (with plastic tie-grips).
Until the cat was 3-4 years old, and finally stopped jumping on everthing…
