Yucca plant extracts: do they work? I have a male cat, about 2 years old, who will be fixed in about three weeks. Until then, I need to keep the spraying to a minimum. Since I can’t be home all of the time, I thought some form of odor control would be the next best thing. Has anyone had experience with using yucca plant extracts in a pill form?

As far as I know, yucca is poisonous to cats.

Your best bet at the moment is to clean the areas he might have urinated in. A cat will tend to return to an area they’ve marked. In the past I used a product called Simple Solution to get rid of cat odors that was helpful. Search the boards, I know lately cat odors were discussed at some length.
