More to the point, it would have entailed getting really close to that cat. If that cat had wanted to be picked up, I imagine it would have given some indication of that fact. And if it didn’t want to be picked up… Well, let’s just say that I don’t want to be on the bad side of a cat that stares down alligators.

Yes! I don’t know what amused me more: the stand-off, or that the gator came back with his homeboy and still got shown up.
The cat is brave and only doing the thing he knows well.
