Cat?

Okay, i another question from my strange mind. When my cat is comfortable (purring, mewing) she DRIPS , I mean drips by liquid coming out of her face ,lots of liquid. I’m not sure if it comes out of her nose or mouth it kinda comes out in between. But my question is . What is it, Why is it ,Is it normal, and is it a safe liquid,Should i worry if i get some in my eye???

It’s just drool. Means your cat is relaxed and happy.

Chill out.

are you sure ? i have had lots of cats before this and they never drooled before

Yep… some cats drool, and others don’t.

Most cats who drool are also making biscits at the time (i.e. the kneading motion they make with their paws when really happy)

Yep my cat does that kneading thing to

I can finally rest assured because my cat does that paw kneading thing too , I guess i was getting a little too paranoid

One of our cats drools and kneads. She also has an overactive thyroid and IIRC this is one of her symptons. (She’s been on medication for 6 months, gained weight and just had an excellent checkup at the Vet.) It might be something worth talking with your Vet about. Is the cat hungry all the time? (I know, they’re all Garfields, but there’s hunger and then there’s hunger.)

well actually she is pretty much always eating and she steals food and eats things that arent edible like fake flowers

My kitty started drooling when he got to be about 11 years old. What an old man.

well actually my cat didnt start to drool until we had her for about 6 months

Cats knead and drool when comfy because it simulates the action of nursing when they were kittens.

The owner becomes it’s mother in their minds-the first contact it made on earth that signified bonding-someone who cares and protects,as well as feeds.

Does your cat roll over on his/her back when she greets you, after your being away? This says “I love you”.Cat’s postures show a lot.

Dogs, mostly, have their hearts on their sleeves.

We had a cat that drooled and lived to be 20 years old. If the cat acts like a normal cat, bats at things, chases after string, etc., is active and eats normally I wouldn’t worry.

My happy little hunchbacked cat drools all the freaking time. I think there’s some dog in her lineage, it would certainly explain her 25-lb fatass son who will wake himself out of a sound sleep and come running if I call him.

I only have one thing to say to dragonblink , HAha My cat is like that only she doesnt way that much, although she should but she acts the same way

And i just want to tell lure that study have shown that a cat will usually turn on their master much quicker than a dog will . And by turn i mean that if a cats or a DOGS OWNER DIES the cat will start eating the master before a dog will

Not that i have anything against cats, hell i love cats i have two of them but i also have a dog so i guess im pretty even
