Someone told me that when she went to the Kennedy Honors Center she had to show her ID and it was revealed she was 42 or 43 years old at the time. She officially claims to have been born September 25, 1969. Which is correct?
The rumor goes that when she and Michael Douglas visited the White House last year, a security check revealed that she was 10 years older than claimed. I couldn’t find any other info on the subject, but I’m inclined to doubt it.
If it’s true that means:
A. She is stunningly good looking for 42.
B. The age difference between her and her husband isn’t quite so extreme.
Neither of which is a bad thing.
Concurring with Smackfu, if Ms. Zeta-Jones is 42, then either Hollywood is doing amazing things with makeup or she has sold her soul to the devil.
Regardless, that woman could lie to me allllllllll night
i don’t think i’d mind
And if she really is 43 then Dubya Bush is just faking this whole “dumb as the door you walked in through” thing to lull us into a false sence of terror.

You can trace her back to being a bright young thing in stuff like ‘The Darling Buds of May’, through her romance with the 9’ lanky Scots guy who used to be a presenter on ‘Blue Peter’ (you don’t want to ask) and who “broke her heart” in the tabloids when he wouldn’t marry her (women !) and on to Hollywood. The numbers just don’t add up. Great body, though and by all accounts quite a nice, down to earth kind of girl. Bangs like a bog door in the wind, allegedly.
Close the door when you leave please, Matron.
Um, what about Christie Brinkley then? She’s older than that and as gorgeous as she ever was.

Well she wasn’t that much older than me when she was in the Darling Buds of May so that fits in with a '69 date seems right.
“Here’s one I made earlier!”
The IMDB Trivia Section for mrs. Douglas states:
That seems pretty verifiable to me. Also, the IMDB makes no notion of any age discrepancies.
Michael Douglas, you lucky bastard.
Does anybody have copies of William Poundstone’s Big Secrets/ books handy? In one of the books, he has a whole chapter devoted to celebrities that are older than they claim to be.
You are all completely missing the point.
CZJ does not have a fixed age. She is a Top Goddess from the planet Stunning Goddess Women. Among her many amazing powers, she can be any age she wants to be. She can be 17, 34 or 49 or any damn age she pleases.
She has other powers too. For example, she can cause vast amounts of our Earth ‘money’ to move towards her bank account. Also, she possess formidable psychokinetic powers. Every time she appears in front of me, she can cause certain physical material to move without touching. This happens if I see her on TV or at the movies, or if she just drops by to see me because she’s feeling a little horny and wonders if I’d mind giving her a massage.
My SO is very understanding about all this. She has a similar arrangement with Mr. G. Clooney, a popular actor.
I continue to be amazed - and appalled/concerned - at the Moderators knowledge of British uber kulchure. I’m still recovering from Manny injecting a “Boring, boring Arsenal” reference into a footie thread last summer. How either of you know these things is beyond my ken.

Indeed. Oh yes.

Doesn’t everyone know about boring boring Arsenal?
ps. Over here, L_C …
Although she is finer than fine, there is no way in hell she is 32!
Do you reckon she’s older, spooje? 'Cause she could pass for 25 as well, as far as I’m concerned.
I don’t know about boring, boring Arsenal & I’m English!
On topic, I can remember her in the Darling Buds of May & I don’t really want reminding how long ago that first aired…must be quite a while considering how David Jason has aged since then! But her looking young in that doesn’t necessarily prove anything, as they often use older actresses to represent teenagers…esp good looking teenagers, or younger - consider Jenny Agutter (sp?) & The Railway Children.

Jennny Agutter was born December 20, 1952, and _The Railway Children came out in 1970, so she was 17 (or possibly 16) when the movie was filmed. According to the book (well, I haven’t seen the movie, but I have the book at hand), her character is the oldest, Peter is the next oldest (and he’s 10), and Phyllis is the youngest. The weird thing though is that Sally Thomsett, who played Phyllis, was born in 1950, so she was really playing someone much younger than her actual age.
Incidentally, did you know that there was a new version of The Railway Children made in 2000 in which Jenny Agutter played the mother?
