Well, I think they love being able to take a nap in part of the groundskeeping equipment. Not sure what they think about interleague play or the DH.
My cats like to watch baseball on tv. Their fuzzy little heads track the ball or the runner or something. Strangely, they never seem to watch football or NASCAR.
One of mine likes golf. He tries to bat at the little ball.
Maybe they like golf and baseball because white balls are easier to track. They never watch basketball either…
My cat is really against the DH rule. She coughs up a hairball when it is brought up. She is ok on inter league play. She misses when players knew how to bunt.

Think about the game. There’s a lot of ‘I’m going to catch you, run after you, whap you with my paw’ action going on. Much waiting and watching. Catcher/pitcher/dugout signals-could you imagine if they had tails? Players have to ‘fix themselves’ before and after a play-as cats would-‘got my fur all sideways sliding in to second’.
Lexi’s all over the 7th inning stretch.
Ah well. It appears that MLB did not take too kindly to the clip, whatever it was
Awww, too bad. It was a clip from a game where groundskeeper rolled out a piece of astroturf or something, and there was a tiny kitten rolled up sleeping in it. Kitten just about went flying, and the groundskeeper jumped when he saw it. It was cute.
I saw a clip from an Atlanta game years ago where a cat came out on the field during play. A groundskeeper went to get the cat, and that cat tore him up!
One more reason to hate cats.
I can’t find this clip anywhere. Although it was on PTI.
For your enjoyment, bear + trampoline .
It’s in the Oddball section of tonight’s Countdown with Keith Olberman as well.
You can find the video at MLB’s site , it’s under “Sights & Sounds”-- it’s called "A Mets groundskeeper gets a huge surprise from a very small kitten while unrolling the tarp during the Subway Series finale. "
Thanks biometricks that was a pretty funny clip. Cat was probably verrrry surprised
that’s a big title for a wee kitten.
any news on where the cutie is now?
A bit off track but my cat loves my mouse. That is to say she’ll sit on top of the computer and bat at the cursor.
Never had one that watched TV. They just watch the bird feeder.
Mine love hockey, but they are Canadian cats - so of course they’d prefer it to any other sport. They like to bat at the puck with their paws and check around the side of the TV when the camera loses track of the puck.
:dubious: I’ve never seen my SOs cats take any interest in cricket.
