I recenty got married and one of our gifts was a cattle brand. Thisis a really neat absolutely uniqe gift and I would like to register it. Do any of you guys know what organization registers brands? I found info online for Saskatchewan, but not the U.S., Colorado in particular. Any info would be much appreciated.

In Texas, the brand is recorded at the county clerks office.

Colorado has a Division of Brand Inspection which may be a good place to start.

Aren’t you going to tell us about the brand? You know is it the “rocking C” or what? That is a neat gift for someone west of the Mississippi.

For the specific phone number to call, contact your state university county extension agent and ask him he will give you the exact number in seconds.

The extension agent’s number is usually under your county government listing.

Warning: Registering a brand can be expensive.
