CBS Announces Survivor II Cast

Here They Are

Already I’m seeing parallels between this cast and the previous one.

Maralyn=Sonja
Michael=Richard
Nick=Gervaise
Rodger=Rudy
Kimmi=Kelly
Keith=B.B.

…etc.

Here’s looking forward to January 28th!

I heard a report on one of the entertainment shows (ET or Access Hollywood) saying that so far, these contestents have been so back-stabbing, they put last season’s to shame (or is it this season’s that should be ashamed).

I was curious, though, when do they start shooting. I remember last season, they started shooting quite a while before it was broadcast. Have they already started shooting? I’ve seen footage that looks like it’s from the show.

IIRC, this one was shot in November.
I also heard that this group was even more conniving and backstabbing than the first group. Should make for a really interesting show.

There’s going to be shooting in this one? That oughta make tribal councils a little more interesting.

Incidentally, when watching the previous one, I thought that if I were going on something like this, I’d want a scoped .22 rifle with a 1000 rounds as a luxury item. If you can’t find fish or fruit, you could always shoot birds or rats or a camera man…

Who really cares? Does anyone admit he/she watches this crap?

I watch “this crap” . . . in fact I was riveted by the first “Survivor”.

So, sue me.

What we have here is the first group to understand that it is a game. Everyone hated Richard, I know I did. I rooted for Kelly. In retrospect, Richard played the game better than anyone on the island. This group - as fans, and now players, of the first show know the challenge. This is going to be nasty and evil and fun.

It will depend on the camera to get all the treaty making. If CBS can pull that off I predict “Survivor” will rule again.
I cannot do so for a 3rd edition of this show. I just don’t think it will last that long. This is the true finale, and the backstabbing in this will be cruel to the point of being a car accident. We won’t like it, but we won’t be able to look away.

The 3rd edition we will.

I will watch this “crap”.

Sad eh ?

I think I’ll watch “this crap,” too. . . Mitchell’s pretty hot.

Man, I LOVED the first one! I couldn’t WAIT for Wednesday night to roll around.

I agree that this time it will truly be ugly but interesting. These people are going to have to be a LOT less friendly and soft. I have heard, on Entertainment Tonight (I think) that living conditions will be worse also and that there is a better chance of interaction with dangerous wildlife.

And I’m sure I’ll be lined up for the third one too.
Yes, I’ll admit I’m a sucker for “reality” t.v. I watched Big Brother (but only on the live night where someone was bansihed, not the other 37 times it was on during the week–that was just a tad too much) and yes, even though I’m 27 I also watch Real World and Road Rules. Don’t ask me why. I don’t know.

I will watch this…well, it’s not crap. You see, the problem with most people who don’t watch Survivor is that they think it is “Big Brother”, which it isn’t. It’s a game and it was cool.

Oh, I was cheering for Richard from week one last time. Then again, I’m cruel.

By the way, this one is finished filming and there is a winner, just like last time. Imagine the pressure of having to keep THIS one secret!!!

Oh my. If you ever saw the movie Mitchell you would understand just how disturbing this is.

A greasy, sweaty, flabby Joe Don Baker is Mitchell.

Yeah, I watched the last season and I’ll watch this one two. I find it fun, what more can I say? Strangely, I don’t particularly like, and don’t watch, any other “reality” show.

My friend told me about something he saw on ET about the TV crew for Survivor. Seems that because the last one was so popular, they had much better accomidations. Instead of one phone line, they each had their own phones this time. They also had a pool table, much better food, and even an Internet connection. Though, they still had to sleep in a tent.

I am a reality TV slut. I can’t get enough of the stuff. I even – dare I admit this? – found myself tuning in to the horrific “Big Brother” live webcasts late at night when I couldn’t sleep. God, I’m so ashamed.

Anyway, this season, I have a valid reason to watch “Survivor” – an alum from my school is going to be on. Incidentally, a girl who’s graduating this year is a finalist for “Real World”/“Road Rules.” There must be something in the water.

Hell yeah. I do. 99% of everything on TV is crap. Sure, Survivor is hardly reality. It’s vicious assholes in a very artificial situation, but it’s a hell of a lot better than the assembly line sitcoms, soap operas, and talk shows all over TV. People hate Survivor because it’s popular. If one doesn’t watch it, they resent the media hype, so there’s a backlash against the show. But the criticism only adds to the whole aura surrounding the show. I watch it because it’s entertaining. So what? I can’t wait for II to start!
