I have a CD collection, David Bowie’ Sound and Vision. The first CD says it has a video. THis is quite old, 1989, IIRC. How would i play such a video?
Lee, I think if you put the CD into your computer’s CD-ROM drive, then go to My Computer, and then double-click on whatever drive your CD-ROM is (probably the D drive), you should be able to see the video.
Although I have to say, did computers with CD-ROMs even exist back in 1989? I really have no idea, it just sounds kind of before-its-time. Is it possible that there was supposed to be an actual videotape sold with your CD?
Yes. They did have them. Not as common a peripheral as it is today but they did have them. You may need to check the actual date of pressing vs date album was released. 1989 does sound a bit early for a CD video to be included. Might be a 90’s re-release fo 80’s material. CD videos were hot about 5-6 years ago.
Could this be one of those CD-I (CD-Interactive) things? They had players that would play the sound and video, but it never took off.
i read a fan site that said it was a LASERDISC VIDEO but it works in my cd player. Is there anyway to get a computer to read the video?
