Your GD thread was closed because you didn’t actually offer anything to debate. Links weren’t required. But you do have to actually offer an argument, which includes reasons for that argument. You did not do so.
Threads are closed all the time in GD for not being a debate. Sometimes they are moved to the appropriate forum. You should be happy that it was not, as the Pit is actually the appropriate forum for what you did, and you would have gotten your ass handed to you much more than you did here.
In this thread, you just seem crazy. In that thread, you were a bigot.
