Celebrities Who Look(ed) Significantly Different than Earlier in their Careers

I was expecting that, too. Turns out not to be the case. I mean, yeah, he was protecting The Company Secret, but only because he didn’t fully understand what was going on, and because he thought the genie could be stuffed back into the bottle. When it came down to the wire, though, he protected people that Burke would have gleefully fed to the aliens. Also, he took a mauling for the good team.

:eek::eek::eek::eek:

Jan Hooks when she joined the cast of* Designing Women* in 1991.

Jan Hooks in 2010.

Alcohol, cigarettes and cancer.

If I remember correctly, not long after that first picture would have been taken Grace suffered severe facial injuries in a car crash on the Golden Gate Bridge, and looked quite different for a long time afterward.

Scott

The problem with Osment is that his face hasn’t changed ENOUGH. He still has the same face he had as a six year old kid, and it looks ridiculous on a grown man, even when covered by an epic beard.

Dennis Quaid

I saw a movie from the late 90’s which featured a bit part with Michael Cera as a 10-year-old boy. His face looked EXACTLY THE SAME as it does now, which was rather freakish.

In general, though, using child actors as examples is cheating, since they usually change quite a lot. For example: Macauley Culkin.

Randy Quaid. But both pictures are him, so the point still stands.

Robin Wright. It’s not that she’s had vast amounts of work done - I don’t think she’s had any done - or that she’s aged poorly, because she hasn’t by any means. But I have to look long and hard at her face to see The Princess Buttercup in her features.
Also, Boy George.

You might be thinking of Frequency. And I totally agree.

But he still has that one central incisor that is right in the middle. It has always freaked me out. Yes, he was rather fine in his prime, until Scientology sucked all the hot out of him.

As for Shelley Duval, that’s a good example of the toll mental illness takes.

Maisie Williams is the same way. It’s freaky. Especially since she’s grown up nicely from the neck down.

Jennifer Lien

I am surprised no one has yet mentioned the Bridges brothers. In years past, Jeff was incredibly handsome; now he looks old and grizzled. Young Beau, on the other hand, always seemed a bit "not quite " in the looks department; but as he aged he seemed to grow into his frame, face, and self well, and aged more handsomely and gracefully than his brother.

Really sad to read about Shelley Duvall’s mental illness

Says I have to answer a survey, in order to read?

???

Paul Reiser looks as much the same a a natural aging man could, at least to me. Show me pics of him in My Two Dads or Stranger Things, it’s obviously the same dude to me.

Helen Hunt looks more different from season 1 of Mad About You to later seasons than Paul Riser from before the show until now.

I don’t know what you’re talking about. I hope I look that good at 70.
