joel mchale’s career didn’t really take off til he got plugs. i mean, i guess it still looks like the same guy but i didn’t make the connection immediately
I read this before watching the first ep of ST2, so it’s hard to know if I would have recognized him. He does look different, but I think his voice would have given him away.
The Stranger Things actor that threw me for a loop is Matthew Modine. Mostly it’s the white hair, I guess, but also the character doesn’t seem to be the kind I’ve seen him play. Of course it doesn’t help that when I saw his name in the credits I conflated him Matthew Broderick :smack:
Michael Jackson is a good example, not just plastic surgery, but also because of the change in his skin color. By the early 90s he looked like a totally different human being.
