I’m not sure how many of the younger generation realize what an absolutely STAGGERING influence Sid had on comedy and entertainment. Just look at some of the the writers on Your Show of Shows : Mel Brooks, Neil Simon, Danny Simon, Mel Tolkin, Larry Gelbart and Carl Reiner - I mean, really? Stage, Screen and TV giants who would shape our comedic tastes for 5+ decades…
RIP Coach Calhoun
Wow, Sid Caesar. Sad to hear of that one.
Sid was a funny guy and definitely a legend. RIP

Ralph Waite – wow. I liked watching The Waltons as a kid.

Ralph Waite had a part in the miniseries, Roots – I’d forgotten that. He was also a USMC veteran, having served in 1946-1948.
Semper Fi, Ralph, and say hello to Chesty for me.

And I have 13 specimens of perfect health.
Tell me about! Mine just keep on getting better and better. I’m guessing Lindsay Lohan, Miley Cyrus, Courtney Love, and Lady Gaga have suddenly become fitness nuts and are not telling anybody.
