Celebrity Death Pool 2014

I never heard anyone call Reubin Askew “crooked,” in fact, it was to the contrary. Do you know something I haven’t heard?

I think it was a play on his name (askew as in crooked).

And I think you’re right. I must still be on standard time… but still, I find that crack to be a little out of line.

Glenn Edward McDuffie died last weekend at age 86.

Who is McDuffie? He is the man in the iconic photo “The Kiss”. Times Square on VJ Day

Perhaps confused with that paragon of virtue - Spiro T. Agnew.

OK I’m confused. How can a little pun on someone’s name be out of line?
:dubious: <---- that’s me looking askew at you.

ETA: dammit you got me. :smack: You are now on my list.

Are you sure about that? Last I heard, identifying either the sailor or the nurse had been given up as a lost cause, because too many different people were claiming to be them.

(Sorry he died, at any rate.)

I’m looking askew at you,
where did you go?

I saw it on CNN and then found the online article. That is the extent of my trust.

MOM!
He’s looking askew at me!

Just as long as he’s not Luke Askew (I) (1932–2012)

Wesley Warren, man with 130-pound scrotum, dies at 49

Stretching the definition of celebrity.

“Stretching”? Are you fishing for a Beavis chortle?

He wouldn’t have been accepted, as he’s only “famous” for a medical condition.

I know, couldn’t pass up the headline.

Mark Rodgers, author of Samurai Cat, died last month at the age of 61.

I met him, briefly, once. He was a nice guy.

David Brenner died at age 22 points(78).

COLUMBUS, Ga. Howard “Bo” Callaway Sr., a former Georgia congressman, Army secretary and one of the founders of Callaway Gardens, died Saturday. He was 86.

BOSTON (AP) — Former Boston Mayor Thomas Menino has been diagnosed with an advanced form of an unknown cancer, the Boston Globe reported.

The newspaper says in a story on its website Saturday that doctors found ‘‘an advanced cancer of unknown origin’’ that had metastasized, and that they were unable to find its source. The cancer was discovered in February by Menino’s primary physician, Dr. Charles A. Morris, the newspaper reported.

Thomas Menino, the longest-serving Boston mayor who retired from the office a year ago, is 71 and has had many health problems in recent years. He said Morris, after making the discovery, was more shaken that Menino.

Bonus Bandwagon pick if he makes it through the year! My sympathies - on my way to hell.

According to long time poster **Lucretia **God is close to tell Fred Phelps in person that he made the Lord very, very nervous.

As I said on that pit thread, I’m terribly sorry…

Terribly sorry that I did not have him in my list!

I hope that he will get an appropriate judgement.

“PULL MY FINGER!” Said the lord.
