Andrew is merely tied for the lead for the “Quantity Not Quality” award (with Registered At Last, whose quantity also has had sufficient quality to put him at the top of the leader board, proving that it doesn’t have to be either/or), but at this point he’s pretty much a shoo-in for the “Inside Track With the Grim Reaper” award, since all of his five corpses were unique, and nobody else has more than one unique corpse.
One poster did not get their points for Steve Byrnes, but it turns out their clean list posted had one choice mentioned twice. Since it’s clear from their detailed list they meant to include Byrnes, I am now posting the current standings.
Sawyer Sweeten, known for playing one of the twins on Everybody Loves Raymond alongside his twin Sullivan and their real life sister Madylin, has committed suicide at 19.
Thousands are dead in the massive Nepal earthquake that leveled Katmandu. Among the quake’s more minor consequences were avalanches on Mt. Everest. One of those avalanches killed Google exec Dan Fredinburg, 33.
There’s a rumor from news sources in India that Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi has died of wounds recieved in an attack several days ago. It’s not on any major networks though, I’ll wait to see.
It could well take some time for things to sort out. Then there’s the the issue of how many points he’s actually worth since I haven’t seen anything more firm than 1971 as a birth “date.”
Not a celebrity as such, but Oscar-winning cinematographer Andrew Lesnie died yesterday of a heart attack at age 59. He worked on such films as the entire Lord of the Rings* series, Babe, and Rise of the Planet of the Apes.
*You may recognise him from his jovial appearances on the Lord of the Rings DVD appendices/BTS documentaries.
She said, “Don’t I know you from the cinematographers’ party?” I said “Who am I to blow against the wind?”
Someone who wins one of them Oscar thingies easily qualifies as a celeb by the comfortably relaxed standards of this thread. And this was the cinematography for Lord of the freakin’ Rings, after all. More than a few people saw his prize-winning handiwork.
The UN press release adding him to their sanctions list confirms 1971. Wikipedia gives a birthdate of July 28, 1971, but none of their links seems to support the day and month.
If there’s no solid day and month of birth, I assume Rule 5 would apply:
At any rate, 56 or 57 points would be a pretty decent haul for those who have him.
