Mr. Burns back from the dead.

http://www.skynews.com.au/culture/showbiz/tv/2015/07/08/the-voice-of-mr-burns-announces-return.html

Excellent.

Kathleen Snavely, the longest-lived person of Irish extraction, died Monday at the age of 113.

Somehow she was NOT on Andrew 21’s list, which I find myself checking every time I hear about the death of anyone age 106 or older:

For those keeping score at home, Roy Douglas, Irving Kahn, Sakari Momoi, Misao Okawa, Isabel Rosado, and Gertrude Weaver have finally been unable to postpone their deaths any longer. The rest of them continue their decades of taunting the Reaper.

Today is the birthday of someone who would make a good patron saint of the Death Pool. I refer, of course, to Elisabeth Kubler-Ross, author of On Death and Dying, who died in 2004. In complete acceptance of the prospect, one hopes.

Raiders QB Ken Stabler NOT dead at age 69.

EDIT: Actually, I’m now seeing a ton of reports that his family is confirming he is dead. Please hold all scorecards until we get this straightened out.

(Or not…no one had him, so it really doesn’t matter for DP purposes.)

ESPN confirms Ken Stabler’s death.

ETA: Longtime Saudi foreign minister (1975-2015) Saud al-Faisal dies at age 75.

Cancer killed Kenny…You Bastard.

RIP Kenny.

I distinctly remember watching the Holy Roller Forward Fumble play!

Was a fan of his even though I didn’t like the Raiders. Good exciting player and they were on National TV nearly every week.

Irwin Keyes, dead at 63.

I mentioned Bob Uecker in the Baker’s Dozen thread. And I was sure I remembered hearing about him dying a few years back. But I checked his Wikipedia page and he’s still alive.

So who was I thinking of? It’s not Harry Caray or Phil Rizzuto - it was somebody who did more outside of baseball. I’m not really a baseball fan so it was somebody who’d be famous even if you don’t watch baseball games. Is there some other sports announcer who also did occasional acting jobs that died in the last ten years?

Omar Sharif: dead at 17 points

Pat Summerall, perhaps? Did baseball, football (most famously with John Madden), and some acting here and there.

Sorry to hear about his passing. He was quite something, back in the day.

Looks like he was an alternate on one list, but AFAICT nobody had him for real.

Ed Hardy has died.

Douchebags everywhere will be wearing there pants at ‘half ass’ in his honour.

No, it wasn’t Ed Hardy, it was a designer at the Ed Hardy firm named Christian Audigier.

Sharif don’t like it, rockin’ the casket…

All right, you…
