Celebrity Death Pool 2016

College Football Hall of Famer LaVell Edwards, who coached the BYU Cougars for 29 seasons, died Thursday at the age of 86 from complications after breaking his hip, his wife said.

Someone else invented the blue ones? :dubious:

Not DCnDC’s fault. This note was just added to the link provided:

Barbara Tarbuck, ‘General Hospital’ and ‘American Horror Story’ Actress, Dies at 74.

The Carnegie Deli(and a bit of my soul) dies today.

Alas, the The Drake’s Famed Cape Cod Room Will Close After 8 Decades.

The BBC’s take on the deaths this year is here.

Wow. That’s a bunch of people who I a) hadn’t realized had died:
Pete Burns - Paul Kantner - Scotty Moore - Leon Russell - Frank Sinatra Jr. - Maurice White - Boutros Boutros-Ghali

or b) had thought died years ago (or at least I’d forgotten that they died *this *year):
George Kennedy - Glen Frey - Patty Duke - Dan Haggerty - Doris Roberts - Robert Stigwood - Edward Albee

Shit. Now I’m depressed.

Wow! That’s some list.

Paul Katner?
Blows Against the Empire?
Aw, man!

Alan Williams, the Beatles’ first manager, dead at 86. Alas, my Fab-themed list did not include him.

I guess he took the wrong stairs (coarse language warning).

Meme I saw on Facebook:

"2016 claims another one:

Carlos Ray ‘Chuck’ Norris (born March 10, 1940) is an American martial artist, actor, film producer, an screenwriter, died this morning in his house in Oklahoma at the age of 76. He is feeling much better now and has fully recovered from this minor annoyance."

It’s been a few months now, but since it hasn’t been reported by anyone else I’d like to draw attention to the death of Walter Scheel, former President and, for a few days, Acting Chancellor of (West) Germany in the 1970s. Seems I was the only one who had him on the list. Nets me a whopping three points.

For the curious, my theme was “People who Won an Oscar, a Tony, and an Emmy, but who have NOT won a Grammy.”

As I said, there were only twelve living people who fit.

This year has Sucked On Ice.

I was going through 6-7 news sites just checking news when I passed Yahoo.
Yahoo lists a small section called ‘Trending’ and I was actually afraid to click any of the names.

I just didn’t want to read that anyone else had died.

I want to ask the forgiveness of those playing this game. I’m feeling very ill, and I may go to urgent care, or the ER.

It will probably be at least Monday before I post the final results.

No. 2016 doesn’t get to take you too.

Feel better, Baker! and don’t worry about us; we can wait (well, those of us not in the lead are not in a hurry, anyhow).
